Orbis respects the confidential natüre inherent in a professional relationship and is committed to the highest professional standards for the protection of our clients' confidential information. This remains an essential component of how we work and who we are.
Our commitment is rooted in all aspects of our governance structure and culture. Our global director of client confidentiality and our Confidentiality Council, which comprises senior partners from across the firm and areas of expertise, guide our firmwide approach and address any specific questions and issues.
All of our people personally commit to maintaining the highest professional standards. We ask every employee to annually reaffirm our Code of Business Conduct. Our new colleagues attend dedicated onboarding sessions that explicitly cover the firm’s expectations on confidentiality and confidentiality standards. As colleagues are promoted and take on new roles, they also receive additional training to both “refresh” the content and provide level-specific resources.
Our confidentiality framework includes definitions and appropriate usage of confidential information, standards for the protection of confidential information and the avoidance of conflicts of interest, restrictions on information sharing and protocols for physical and IT security. Our specific confidentiality processes are continually reviewed and updated to ensure that they fully align with the changing business environment and best-practice standards.
All Orbis employees treat the following information as completely confidential:
